Keeping the music alive

This week Music for HOPE presented the College of Southern Nevada, Recording Arts Program with 2 vintage keyboards for their collection along with software and accessories.

The College of Southern Nevada’s Recording Arts program teaches students music production and audio recording skills from their state of the art recording studio located on the North Las Vegas Cheyanne campus. Their collection of vintage analog tape recorders and instruments enable students to learn about the history of music production and allows for a better understanding of how far we have come with recording and audio production.

The donated keyboards a 1970’s Yamaha YC 10 stage combo organ and a 1990’s Vintage Alesis Q6 Synthesizer will give students the opportunity to see how music production was accomplished in the past.
